PENANG (March 9): Heng Guan Development (HGD) has marked a major milestone in Penang with the 100% sell-out of its commercial breakout development, Balik Pulau Commercial Centre (BPCC), ahead of its official groundbreaking.
The boutique commercial development, valued at RM18.3 million, features 13 two-storey shop offices designed to serve the rapidly expanding residential population in Balik Pulau.
The complete pre-construction take-up was driven by a major supermarket operator consolidating its operational footprint to capture demand from nearby residential enclaves and educational institutions, including the Prince of Wales Island International School.
According to HGD, the success of BPCC validates the group’s strategic decision to expand beyond its core Kedah market into high-growth areas in Penang.
“Achieving a 100% sell-out prior to groundbreaking is a testament to strong buyer confidence and our targeted development strategy. We remain committed to delivering quality commercial spaces that generate long-term value for business owners and surrounding communities,” said the developer.
